Founder & Head Trainer

Las Vegas, NV

I grew up in a gym — my dad owned one — and coaching was my first job. I competed for Springfield College and, shortly after graduating in 2010, landed my childhood dream: performing on the Las Vegas Strip in Cirque Du Soleil. Over a dozen years I performed high flying acrobatics in various shows, and served as an artist coach. The stage taught me precision, timing, and how to teach/perform under pressure — skills that shaped my approach to teaching and people.

My move into dog training started with Sage in 2016. After adopting her, she attacked and nearly killed our little dog. I dove into the training world headfirst: studying every method I could find, practicing, failing, and adapting. What began as emergency work for safety evolved into a multi-year discipline of learning, implementing, and refining techniques. I’m obsessive about details — how a handler moves, the timing of a cue, the smallest change that lets learning happen — and that focus translated naturally from performance coaching to training dogs and their people.

After exploring many styles, I realized something was missing: a connection-based system built on trust that doesn’t just suppress or distract unwanted behaviors — it changes how dogs perceive and respond to the world, from human-directed aggression to nervous toy-breed handlers. Everything changed when I discovered Training Without Conflict. ® Rather than suppressing instincts, it leverages them, giving dogs a framework to succeed while keeping everyone safe. I combined the Training Without Conflict ® system with the knowledge I’ve gained from years of real‑world dog‑training experience and my background in coaching and performance to create an individualized approach that fits each dog and handler. There’s no one-size-fits-all: some dogs respond best to calm and subtlety, others to clear structure and energy. My job is to find the right approach at the right time so learning clicks — and it does.

At Align Canine, I’ll Guide You To Align With Your Dog—cultivating trust, cooperation, and emotional balance—so training becomes joy and the two of you can confidently experience the world together.

The Align Canine Approach

Play With Purpose

Connection That Counts — Build Trust, Align Socially, Explore Together

At Align Canine our mission is simple: help dogs and their people thrive together by building a foundation of trust, clarity, and respect. Training works best when it’s built around what dogs are naturally drawn to — their instincts, motivations, and joy — not against them.

How we work We begin by learning what makes your dog tick: the activities, drives, and cues that light up their eyes. From there we design a practical, play‑forward plan tailored to your dog’s temperament and your household. Our work centers on clear, consistent cues and predictable routines that give dogs the clarity they need to understand what’s being asked of them. We stay fully attuned to each dog’s emotional state, using ethical, science‑based methods to guide feelings toward calm, confidence, and willingness to engage. That emotional tuning creates the optimal learning window so training is effective, humane, and fun.

Our commitments

Trust & Relationship: Mutual trust is the only way to build a lasting partnership. We earn that trust through play, predictable signals, and respectful progression. Cooperation is invited, not forced — so dogs want to listen because they understand and choose to participate.

Emotional Attunement: We read and respond to each dog’s emotional state and ethically guide those emotions so learning happens when your dog is receptive. In short: we create the moments when a dog is ready to learn.

Clarity: Clear, consistent cues and routines reduce stress and speed learning. Clarity makes behaviors reliable in everyday life.

Individualized Care: Every dog is treated as an individual — training plans are tailored to breed, temperament, history, and your family’s needs.

Owner Empowerment: We coach owners with simple, repeatable steps and realistic expectations so progress continues after lessons end.

Lasting Results: The goal is durable change — calmer walks, safer homes, a stronger bond, and a thriving dog living its best life. You’ll notice it most when your dog greets training sessions with excitement — that’s the best compliment we can get.

Ongoing Support: Training doesn’t end at graduation. If you ever need a refresher or run into a new problem, we’re only a phone call away.

Why it matters: When training respects a dog’s nature, provides clarity, and equips owners with repeatable tools, behavior improves and relationships deepen. That’s Align Canine’s promise: training that builds partnership, confidence, and real-world results.
